Does your soap contain lye?
All soap is made using sodium hydroxide. During saponification the sodium hydroxide reacts with the oils used in the
formula to create soap. When the reaction is completed no sodium hydroxide remains in the final product. Soap cannot
be made without sodium hydroxide So yes, we start with sodium hydroxide, but in the end product no active lye
remains.
What ingredients do you use?
Olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil/flakes, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, hemp oil, almond
oil, soy oil, grapeseed oil, and tallow. Not all our soaps contain all these oils. This is not a full list of oils we have or can
use. We can be as creative as we want with oils - or as limited as you want us to be.
Do you use other ingredients?
No. We use only all natural or organic oils in our soap products. We don't add preservatives, lathering agents, alcohols,
coloring agents, or detergents. What you get is real handmade and all natural soap!
Anything else?
Yes. We use fragrance oils and essential oils to create our line of fragrances. We currently have access to over 500
different skin and body safe fragrances! Imagine what can be done with those.
What about shipping?
We ship worldwide. For most shipments we use the postal service. We've found that shipping products via the postal
service is much cheaper than using other shipping methods. However, wecan ship it via UPS and/or FedEx if you require
that shipping method.
How soon do you ship?
All orders are normally shipped within 2 to 3 business days - weekends and holidays are not shipping days.
How do I pay you?
We accept all major credit cards via the Paypal portal, E-checks, cash, and money orders. Please note that we no
longer accept personal checks. If paying by cash or money order, we ship the day we receive your full payment. The
Paypal portal is the quickest and easiest method. We are Paypal verified so your transaction is safe, secure, and
guaranteed.
Do you label all your products?
Yes. Legally, real soap is not required to have an ingredient list. We label our soap so that our customers can make an
educated decision about our products.
You have a wide range of products, do you make those too?
Yes. We carry a full line of products. Each one is made by us. It's the only way we can guarantee our products meet our
standards and industry standards of being all natural and green.
Where are you?
Naked Owl Soap is located in Central New York. We do not have a brick and mortar store - we are on-line only. This
means less overhead to us in the way of buildings and this mean less cost to you as the consumer.
Do you really believe your product is good?
YES! We believe our products are the best for you, the environment, and the economy.

We maintain strict quality control over what goes into our products. There is a world of difference between our
handmade products and those items you purchase in a store. Read the ingredient label on your store bought soap or
detergent bar. If it doesn't say soap on the label - it's considered a detergent bar. Once you read the ingredients you'll
be surprised to find that most of your soap is man-made chemicals.
Additionally, since our products are all natural and have no chemicals they are considered by the FDA to be all natural and
environmentally safe and biodegradable.
Who do you recommend to use your soap?
Anyone. All age groups, all skin types, all colors.
Do you make custom orders?
Yes. We can create a product line based on your needs. We can label the products using your logo, family name, event,
etc. Custom orders can take from six to eight weeks to complete. We can manipulate our formulas (or create a new
one) to fit your specific needs. Use our contact form for more information. We create private labeling for several
different shops. We handle wedding favor soap, family gatherings gifts, company promotions, fairs, and so on.
Why is your soap so much lower in price than the others?
We believe in fair and competitive pricing. Also, your skin can only accept so much of a good thing - anything else is just
washed down the drain. You may find another product has a large amount of a reportedly great ingredient in it, but
your skin can't accept it all. That’s just money down the drain. All our formulas are balanced to provide the best skin
care product.
We also order our ingredients in bulk. This is cheaper in the long run and those savings are passed on to you. Our
supplies come from all over the world (most are U.S. produced) and have been handpicked to meets our quality
standards.
It's up to you to decide where your hard-earned money goes. For most of us, we want the best product we can afford
at a price we're willing to pay. Considering that, our soaps meet those criteria. We don't half step with our products.
Each product is fully tested before it's allowed to go for sale. If we (and our testers) don't like it - we don't sell it. It's
really that simple.
How can I select one of your products without smelling it?
This is the most difficult part of buying soap on-line. We endeavor to keep our scents as 'honest' as possible. For
example, lilac is lilac - but will it smell like the lilac from your memory? Or did we use French Lilac and you're looking for
American Lilac? If you don't like the scent once you receive it, repack the unused items and send it back to us for store
credit. We cannot accept used products.
Noses are funny creatures, and we understand that. Our Naked Owl scent master, after years of sniffing and smelling,
selects the best true-to-form scent that he can find. He looks for three 'notes' to each scent. Top, bottom, and base
notes. But we still find that what may be a perfect Lilac-note for us, may not be the perfect Lilac-note for you. It's okay,
we really do understand that.

process. The INCI list is not a requirement on true soap products. We do it so that our customers and clients can see
what they are buying and using. Many soaper's use "Saponified oils of" followed by their ingredients. This is an improper
and illegal way of listing ingredients..

incense can brighten a gloomy day and calm a busy mind.
Many manufacturers dip their product for only few hours. Most lay their incense sticks in a pan. At Naked Owl Soap, our
incense is fully immersed for a full 72 hours. During the course of immersion, they are additionally agitated to ensure that
the scent is throughly dispensed into the incense stick. This is a far superior method compared to other manufacturers.
After the 24 hour soaking period they are allowed to dry for two days and then packaged into a shrink tube. This
ensures the scent stays locked into the incense. This produces the best scent for you, the consumer.
Couple this product with some Naked Owl Soap and/or candles for an exceptional gift, or just for your own personal use.

Crystals
Our crystals are fantastic and come from the clear blue waters of Brazil. These are very high end crystals and have
multiple uses. You won't find them in too many shops - if any.
Once the water is evaporated the crystals are broken into large rocks. Our crystals are huge. They generally measure
about 1.5 inches. Huge! Once we rinse them they become semi-transparent and create a clear shimmering crystal.
These crystals have the same mineral composition as high-end bath salts. This is the ideal size to be used in Salt
Potpourri or Crystal Potpourri. When heated the crystals slowly release the scented oil into the air. Crystals can be
re-scented every 3-5 months. As with our incense, these crystals are hand soaked for 24 hours and then allowed to
dry. They are packaged in shrink wrap to lock in the scent.
The other use, which is what we recommend, is a bath salt. Since we use no colors and use only body safe scents,
these are ideal for the bath. Take one or two or more crystals and place them into a bath tub of hot water. As they
dissolve they release the scent and the salt permeates the bath water. This is no doubt, one of the most luxurious
baths you'll ever take!
For potpourri, take three or four crystals and place them in a warmer. As the crystals gently warm they will release a
very slight scent into the air. These are not as powerful as a candle throw, but they can be heated over and over and
re-scented every few months. Many of our customers just place them in a decorative bowl and let them naturally
